About Simone

Simone Mullinax recently graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Master of Arts in Communication.  During graduate school she served as a Public Speaking instructor at the U of A and was elected to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.  Simone also received the Golden Tusk Award, which is selected by university students and recognizes a faculty member for their teamwork, hard work, and character.   In May 2010, she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and triple minors in English, General Business, and Marketing.  During her undergraduate work, Simone was a member of the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society and a Student Ambassador for the university where she gave campus tours to future Razorbacks. She was also a member of R.E.A.L. Razorbacks, Student Alumni Board, Academic Standards Judicial Committee, and Kappa Kappa Gamma. In the near future, Simone plans to begin working on her doctoral studies in order to become a Communication professor at an accredited university.  She has a passion for teaching and believes that communication is the single most important skill an individual must possess in order to achieve their goals.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Simone has studied classical opera for thirteen years and was selected to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York City.  Since 2003, she has been an advocate for at-risk children and continues to work in the Fayetteville community speaking about the powerful influence that mentors have on kids lives.  Her primary goal is to educate children on the characteristics of a healthy relationship, including emotional and social intelligence.  She has worked closely with Operation Aware, Boys and Girls Club, and Reading is Fundamental to bring healthy relationships and positive role models to children at-risk.

Simone currently holds the title of Miss Frisco Springs and will be competing for the title of Miss Arkansas in Hot Springs, AR this July. She is truly excited about this opportunity and is grateful for everyone's support and encouragement as she continues to work towards this goal.
